Placing Props 💻

  1. Go to the ‘Place’ section in Construction Mode

  1. Select one or multiple meshes in your ‘Content Browser’

  1. Press ‘C’ to cycle between selected meshes
  2. Press left mouse button to place the asset
  3. Press and Hold left mouse button to rotate the object
  4. Press ‘Shift’ to rotate 90 degrees
  5. Press ‘E’ to change between erase and place mode

Options

PROP LAYER: When placing props, Construction Mode will create a new actor, Layer_Nr. and place instances of the placed meshes under this actor. By changing the Prop layer number, you can create multiple of these prop holder actors.

MODEL ORIENTATION: Change the axis how you want to place your mesh.

SNAP DISTANCE: Adjust the distance from snapping points where snapping triggers.

ENABLE WORLD AXIS SNAPPING: Snapping is object space you can also turn on world space so the snapping lines are matching the world x,y,z axis
